Winemaking: The Quinta do Noval grapes are trodden by foot to obtain the must and then, during fermentation, they are crushed again in the traditional stone lagares at Quinta do Noval. This 40 Year Old Tawny is a blend of Old Port wines from different vintages, with an average age of 40 years, aged in oak barrels.

Recommendation: Serve chilled at 9-14°C. Decanting is not necessary because this filtered port has no sediment. It is ready to drink as soon as it is bottled. It can be enjoyed for around 3 months, keeping the bottle in a cool place.
Food pairing: Particularly pleasant with a dessert, dark chocolate or cheese. Also on its own at the end of a meal.
