Vinification:
Vintage Ports are only declared in great years (3 or 4 years in a decade) and only when the wines meet Noval’s exacting standards. All the grapes come from the Quinta do Noval vineyard. The grapes are trodden on foot to obtain the must and then, during fermentation, they are macerated to obtain the best possible extraction in the mills, the traditional stone vats of the Quinta. Aged for 18 months in wooden vats of various capacities.

Storage and serving advice:
Serve at cellar temperature (15/17°). Decanting is recommended to separate the sediment. This cellar wine matures over the years and develops a complex array of aromas. You can also enjoy it when young to taste the intensity

Pairing with food:
Particularly pleasant with a dessert, with dark chocolate or cheese. Also by itself at the end of a meal.
