Possibly the most iconic in Portuguese territory, Douro Wine is produced in the Alto Douro Wine Region, classified by Unesco in 2001 as a World Heritage Site. The region has the largest area of mountain vines in the world divided into three geographic points: Baixo-Corgo, Cima-Corgo and Douro Superior.
Among the types of wine, Lagrima, Ruby, Tawny, Vintage Style, Crusted, Late Bottled Vintage and Vintage stand out.
