I was walking around Porto and I found this wine shop Touriga, I wanted buy a good vino verde and the owner adviced me a very good Alvarinho. I liked it so much so I came back to buy more white and redsfor me and my friends. The wines were delicious. Now we're thinking about shipping some more back to France 😉

Excellent presentation about the history of port and the differences between white, tawny, and Ruby as well as the levels of excellence of each of them. Davide chose excellent samples of each (so good we ended up buying several bottles for ourselves and for gifts. Reasonable prices. I highly recommend Davide's session and tastings, and the Touriga wine shop on Rua das Fabrics.

Not only a vintage wine shop but also a place for wine tasting courses with a very nice story behind it. Good for beginners and intermediate alike as the shop owner will help you on all levels.

I’ve had wine tasting experience booked with Davide and left feeling like I’ve made a new friend. His knowledge of wines and way of explaining and teaching is so easy to digest. I was never a big wine person before and booked this as an intro into the world of wines and so glad I did. Absolutely amazing experience and great value for money. Can’t wait to visit Davide’s wine shop when I’m back in Porto!

Une petite boutique nichée près de l'avenue Aliados dans laquelle on trouve une vaste selection de porto allant du plus simple (mais bien choisis) au plus vieux. Il est surtout possible d'y faire des dégustations par trio (1 tawny blanc + 2 tawny rouges mais très différents dont un de 10 ans) pour 9e ou bien un trio incluant un 20 ans, un 30 ans et un 40 ans d'âge) pour 25e. Le tout accompagné d'excellents conseils et explications. Une halte obligée pour les amateurs comme pour ceux qui veulent être initié.

I visited Touriga for a wine tasting and it ended up being my favorite experience during my visit to Porto! As a beginner I was surprised at how quickly I was able to learn and identify various region-specific wine attributes. This is thanks to Davide, who was incredibly knowledgeable and skilled at explaining key tasting concepts in layman’s terms. This is a great entry point for many of us who might be overwhelmed by the grand and complex art of wine tasting. By the end of the night I couldn’t resist purchasing several bottles of the delicious wines we tasted. Don’t miss out on this wonderfully curated wine shop and tasting experience when you visit Porto!

Stumbled across this wine shop by complete chance when looking to shelter from the rain. We just missed the pre-organised port tasting time slot, but the wonderful owner Davide still invited us for some port tasting. He walked us through various ports, and was very knowledgeable and engaging. He also provided recommendations for the rest of our trip, including going to the Pinhão valley which was an amazing experience! The port was delicious, the explanation so interesting, and the shop had a lovely homely feel. I throughly recommend visiting!

I did the wine tasting experience through air BnB, it was so fantastic that I came back to take the port class as well! Davide is super knowledgeable and a terrific host. His selections made it possible to taste the differences between the three major wine producing regions in Portugal. The shop is a sensory experience, definitely worth spending some time in. Bonus, if you go overboard you can have bottles shipped to you, unless you’re from California (sorry Californians, it’s probably some emissions regulation, drink all you can and load the rest in your suitcases) Highly recommended!
