Quinta La Rosa Branco 2019

Vinification:
The terroir in the Douro is still little explored and, by producing wines with balance, harmony and balance from our vineyards, we try to allow the grapes to express themselves in the bottle. The La Rosa style is to make well-defined wines, without much extraction, tannin or oak and with good freshness and minerality. La La Rosa white wine was partially fermented and aged in barrels (50%) and the rest in stainless steel tanks before being bottled in May 2013.
Castes:
Viosinho, Rabigato, Gouveio, Côdega de Larinho

Test results:
It has more balance and texture than many previous La Rosa whites. With smooth tropical banana on the nose, along with citrus tones, the wine shows great minerality and has a long, creamy, rich and velvety finish. The lively acidity keeps the wine fresh and in keeping with the style of other La Rosa white wines.

Storage and serving advice:
It can age well, “like a white burgundy,” as Jancis Robinson suggested in late August 2012.

Pairing with food:
An ideal wine to accompany summer meals, such as fish, salads and pasta, or to drink alone as an aperitif.
