Winemaking: Redoma branco comes from small vineyards over 40 years old, planted with the most diverse grape varieties, the most important being Rabigato, Códega do Larinho, Arinto, Gouveio, Boal and Viosinho. These special vineyards tend to offer delicate, mineral wines with great complexity. These vineyards are planted at high altitudes, between 400 and 700 meters, on mica schist soils, on the right bank of the Douro River. The end result is an impressive wine with great intensity, freshness and minerality. After transportation by cooling truck and sorting, the grapes were pressed very quickly overnight without any maceration at low temperature, and decanted for 24 hours at low temperature. Fermentation took place in 228-liter French oak barrels and was aged for 10 months on the fine lees, without malolactic fermentation or bâtonnage. The wine was bottled at the end of June.
