Grape varieties: Old Vines.
Vinification: This Vintage has a unique personality. It was made with the best grapes from the Quinta, trodden slowly by foot in a lagar, as is traditional in the Douro Valley. The wine was aged in tank for 12 months and then in old wooden barrels until bottling in the second year.
Tasting Notes: Opaque garnet color. Classic aroma, intense ripe fruit, hints of chocolate and pepper. Full-bodied, persistent and lively with vigorous tannins.
Recommendation: Decant and serve between 16 and 18ºC, in a suitable glass.
Food pairing: Goes well with goat’s cheese and red meats.
