The Douro valley is the famous home of Port wine but it also produces some of the best still wines in the world. The Douro has an incredible complexity for the three sub regions that compose the demarcated region (Lower Corgo, Upper Corgo, Upper Douro) with their climatic differences, the incredible number of varieties (90 between red and white, some still nameless) and the challenge of different altitudes that the same vineyard can have. Douro wines are known for their volume in the mouth, the ripe fruit, the structured but polished tannins of the reds, and the surprising freshness of the whites. Here we present our selection.
